Island Life is annoyed - but not blown away - by phrase overuse.
Everywhere you turn these days, people are getting blown away. Stick a microphone in their face and they'll tell the reporter they were just blown away. Or totally blown away. Or completely blown away. It especially seems to happen to the sort of person who wears their sunglasses as a cap.
I'd be amazed or surprised or gobsmacked if these people ever used a dictionary or thesaurus, even though they are so readily available online.
